Biblical Geography

During the exploration of the route of The Exodus I naturally needed to delve into biblical geography.
As known, Kadesh is one of the most famous stops of the journey. However, Kadesh is also mentioned in relation to Abraham's dwelling place ('And Abraham journeyed from there to the land of the Negev, and he dwelt between Kadesh and Shur, and he sojourned in Gerar') and in connection with Hagar's flight. An in-depth investigation of these contexts raised suspicion that the current identification of the land of Gerar is incorrect.
This opened a 'Pandora's box,' whose investigation lasted about 6 years: the deeper I delved into the subject, I realized that our understanding of biblical geography is wrong, including the identification of places currently considered as pillars of biblical geography.
A clash with the accepted geographical concepts in academia and the public became inevitable. I feared that if this matter were to be doubted, it might also raise controversy regarding the study of the Exodus. Of course, I could not take such a risk, therefore I decided to separate the issue of geography from the issue of the Exodus, and to devote a separate and extensive framework to it.

'Biblical Geography' is an online encyclopedia that resents geographical and historical information about approximately 400 biblical places and events.

Because the information is very detailed and full of quotes from ancient sources, also written in foreign languages (Aramaic, Greek, Latin, and Arabic), it is intended for those knowledgeable in the fields of history or archaeology.

Here, in this portal, I will present the information in a way that will also allow the general public to become familiar with the research findings and its implications, in a language that is clear and understandable to all.
